Vision Executive Drill Compatibility Issue with HP Printer D

Dear Sir/Madam

We are using SunSystems as well as Vision Executive from long time. Recently from one year what I found is Vision Executive doesn't support printer drivers of some HP printer's models. We can’t say how many printers models drivers can't support, but as our experience while troubleshooting, we found it doesn't support driver of two printer models (1. Hp Laser Jet P2015 and 2. Hp Laser Jet 2300) while extracting (Drill) excel file from vision Executive. However I solve the problem for temporary. I made default printer rather than other printer mention at above but it's temporary solution.

After printing the o/p of excel file generated from the option of drill of Vision Executive by selecting printer HP Laser Jet P2015 I tried to save that file, It prompt debug error but rest simple excel files and with macro enabled files are ok.

Our machine is
Windows XP with SP2,
MS Office 2003 Standard Edition
SunSystems v4.26a with SP11
Vision Executive ver. 5.1.5 SP4

Hi Rajeev,

First thing I would be looking at doing is to upgrade Windows to XP SP3 together with any other patches Microsoft are offering. There certainly have been printing problems in some of the Microsoft updates.

I must say that I have had no problems with printing from Vision to any make or model of printer that works with Office - Sun itself is a different matter.

I would also be looking at upgrading Vision to Q&A 10 - the new name for Vision - as 5 was superseded by 6 which was then replaced by Q&A so you are a number of years out of date.

Thank you very much replying regarding my concern. Well I had already installed WIndows SP3 where I receive those kind of problem as i mention. Due to this I uninstalled SP3 and installed only SP2, even problem is as it is. Well I think this is due to using outdated (old ver) of vision. So could u please guide me how to get latest ver of vision s/w.
or can u able to send me the installation file with installation guide of vision.

If you have a current support contract with a SunSystems dealership, or Infor themselves, all you need to do is to request the update and new serialisation as this should be included in your maintenance fee.
