Hi there,

I am currently installing Sun 5.4 and upgrading from 5.21 SP1. I have installed the security software on the db server. But I get an error when trying to start the service. When I delve into the issue, I find the receiver is actively refusing the connection. I have set the account I am using as dbo of the database and am a bit stuck.

Si

Have you created the SUClients and SUServices local groups on the DB server? The account you are using for the service should be added to the SUServices group.

Hi Simon,

Did you check the service "Susystems Security Service' is started?
This service should be started before you can login SunSystems.

Another way is to run the "Console Server.exe" under the SunSystems' Security folder (but not recommanded). Since I don't know how come run 'Console Server' can help to solve the problem, but it works for me. Does anyone know what the file exactly using for?
