Grateful if anyone can help, i'm getting the following error message when re-installing Global Security:

Error 27502. Could not connect to Microsoft SQL Server '(local)'. Cannot open user default database. Login failed

Not a hundred % certain, but it looks like a permissions issue to me.

Also I would try addressing the server by name, instead of local, the same as you would from a remote PC.

Which version of Sun?

i don't think it's a permission issue because it worked b4. the issue occured when i tried to un-install and re-install Sun.

it's Sun5.3.1. i tried try addressing the server by name. but same error msg appears.
