error "balance table in use"

When I do balance file update or balance file rebuild, the error "balance table in use" is occured. How to solve this problem. Our Sunsystems is version 4.2.6.

Can you re-create the balance file simply by going to FC - file create from sun main menu, select your database code and put Y in the Balance file field?

Cannot re-create the balance file by going to FC in main menu.

Are you still getting this error message? I would suggest that you restart your Sun server and try re-creating the balance table. I think these is a hanging process on the server that locks the table.
Can you confirm if it works out for you?

Usually you should clear SSLOCK table after rebooting of computer too
