The Challenge
At the beginning of 2008 it was recognised that in order for UCB business in Russia and CIS to continue to grow the existing representative entity in CIS countries has to be transformed into the full liability company with the subsequent change of business processes. The sales, inventory, purchasing and accounting functions have to be moved to CIS head office located in Moscow. It was also decided that the current accounting applications were no longer operating either effectively or efficiently and that a replacement financial solution was needed. Olga Moscheva, Chief Accountant, UCB’s explains, “SunSystems was the most cost-effective route to follow and, in addition, it gave us far more reporting functionality than the legacy system.
