Warehouse Groups can be set up to link particular warehouses together using Warehouse Group Setup (WGS). For example, if there are Warehouses situated in the same industrial estate you might want to group these together. Click here to see the screenshot
The form contains the following fields: Warehouse Group Code An identifying code for this Warehouse Group. This might include part of the address, the description of the type of goods it holds, or its storage characteristics. In the above example, if the Warehouses had the codes NORTH, SOUTH, EAST and WEST, the Warehouse Group might be coded CITYPARK after the name of the industrial estate. Assigning Warehouses to a Warehouse Group From the Action menu select Warehouse Groups Assign Members. Click here to see the screenshot The form contains the following fields: Warehouse Group Code This field is automatically populated from the current Warehouse Group record. Warehouse Code The Warehouse to be assigned as a member. Warehouse Description, Short Heading, Lookup and Status These fields are automatically populated once the Warehouse Code has been selected. Note: You can also assign members to a Warehouse Group from Warehouses Setup (WS). From the Action menu select Warehouses Setup.
