Credit Note
If this box is checked, the Sales Type is a Credit Note. This can be used to reverse the ledger in Financials depending on your system.
Sales Return Note
If this box is checked, the Sales Type is a Sales Return Note. This will receive inventory, and can also be used to reverse the ledger in Financials depending on your system setup. For more information about the difference between sales return notes and credit notes, please see What are Sales Return Notes?
Note: To update inventory during Sales Return Note processing, you must define a Movement Type of Receipt against the stage at which inventory update is to be done. This is done on the Sales Stage form.
Reason Code Required
If this box is checked, when a Credit Note is raised a reason code must be entered. See Setting up Reason Codes.
Filter Definition Control Id
The filter definition to be used with the Advanced Generate function in Sales Return Notes. That is, when the Advanced Generate function is selected on Sales Return Notes for this Sales Type, this filter is used.
Default Customer Return Location
The location to be used as the default for goods returned using this Sales Type. You can define return locations on different forms and these are used in a hierarchy when a sales return note is raised. That is, the system searches for the locations in a specific order. If none is found on the first form it searches the next form and so on. You can change the location displayed or manually enter a location if none is displayed. The return locations can be defined on the following forms and are searched in this order: Item Master, Customer Setup and Sales Type Setup. The Default Return Location field on any of these forms may be left blank. The location selected can be a quarantined location.

Account Recognition Code
The code for the account to be used on ledger interfaces. When this code is entered on a ledger interface line, the location is searched for the actual account code. See What is the Ledger Interface? for more information.
Account Code
The account to be used when this Account Recognition Code is used on a ledger interface.
Finding a Transaction Type to Find an Account Recognition Code
There are two types of ledger interface: Inventory and Transactional.
Inventory Type
If an inventory type of ledger interface uses an Account Recognition Code type of Transaction Type Account, SunSystems searches the receipt or issue for the generating transaction. For example, if the issue or receipt is actualised at the order entry stage, SunSystems looks at the transaction type that the order is associated with; if the receipt is actualised at the GRN stage, SunSystems looks at the transaction that the GRN is matched to.
Transactional Type
If a transactional type of ledger interface uses an Account Recognition Code type of Transaction Type Account, SunSystems looks at the relevant transaction. For example, on a sales order, the sales type used for the transaction is used; if a PRN or SRN is the original transaction, then this transaction type is used, and not the movement order that is generated. On a GRN, SunSystems looks at the transaction that the GRN is matched to and uses the transaction type on that transaction.
