Credit Checking Credit Checking covers both Credit Limit Checking and Overdue Invoice Checking. See Credit Checking Customers for more information. Overdue Invoice Check Enabled If this box is checked Overdue Invoice Checking is enabled for the whole of the business unit. If this box is not checked no Overdue Invoice Checking is performed, regardless of whether or not it has been enabled on the customer record. The following flags specify what happens when the Credit Limit Check or Overdue Invoice Check fails during sales order processing: Credit Limit Block - Entry Specifies what happens when a sales order line fails either the Credit Limit Check and/or the Overdue Invoice Check at the order entry stage. Credit Limit Block - Release Specifies what happens when a sales order line fails either the Credit Limit Check and/or the Overdue Invoice Check at the order acknowledgement stage. This also applies when an order line is released after being held, using the release action in the sales order entry at any point regardless of the stage it has reached. The options for the Credit Limit Block fields are:
- Warn Only - a warning message is displayed if the Credit Limit Check and/or Overdue Invoice Check is failed, but processing can continue for the order line.
- Warn and Block - a warning message is displayed if the Credit Limit Check and/or Overdue Invoice Check is failed, the line is immediately put onto Credit Hold and Order Hold. No warning message is displayed. Control Desk functionality is used to remove the Credit Hold. The Order Hold can be removed by using the Release action on the sales order entry form after the Credit Hold is removed.
- Block Only - if the Credit Limit Check and/or Overdue Invoice Check is failed the line is immediately put onto Credit Hold and Order Hold. Control Desk functionality is used to remove the Credit Hold. The Order Hold is removed by using the Release action on the sales order entry form.
- No Credit Checking - no Credit Limit Checking or Overdue Invoice Checking is performed.

Note: the Credit Checking settings can be overridden for specific order types by using Sales Types Setup and for specific Customers using Customer Setup. The system checks the settings in the following order: Customer record; Sales Type; Sales Business Setup. Partial Invoice If this box is checked it is allowable for partial invoices to be processed. Also see the Enforce Qty Control at Process field below. Partial Delivery If this box is checked it is allowable for partial deliveries to be processed. Also see the Enforce Qty Control at Process field below. Excl Invoice Description Lines If this box is checked the description lines of invoices are not included. Whole Orders Only If this box is checked only whole orders can be processed. Whole Line Only If this box is checked whole lines can be processed, but not necessarily whole orders. Enforce Qty Control at Process If Whole Orders Only or Whole Line Only have been selected, you must specify the stage when this will be checked. That is, the order or line cannot be processed further until they have been fulfilled. Options are:
- Inventory Allocation
- Picking
- Dispatch
- Not Applicable.
