How to set up a Date in a Transaction Reference
To set up part of the reference as a date, you must enter the following in the Value field:- 1 - century
- 2 - year
- 3 - month
- 4 - day

Example 1| | Type | Value | Delimiter | Length | Part 1 | Number Stream | SEQ (and the next number in the sequence is 12) | - | 2 | Part 2 | Date (and the year is 2002) | 2 | | 2 |
The next transaction reference produced is 12-02.
Example 2 | | Type | Value | Delimiter | Length | Part 1 | Number Stream | SEQ (and the next number in the sequence is 12) | - | 2 | Part 2 | Date (and the date is 20th April 2002) | 234 (that is, year, month, day) | | 6 |
The next transaction reference produced is 12-020420.
