Account Analysis Update can be used to update the Account Status field in the Chart of Accounts screen with either Closed, Suspended or Blank (open). It can also be used to update SunSystems Account Analysis Dimension with the relevant values where the account codes match the selection criteria.

From the Maintenance menu, select Account Analysis Update. The following screen will open:

Check "Update Account Status With" and select "C | Closed" from the dropdown box.

Check "Specific Allocation Marker", set "Allocation" to "Equal" and enter "3" for allocation marker

In "Account Codes" From To box select a range from 64001 to 64011.

Click on Process to run the update.

The following screen will appear on completion:

This confirms the account codes that will be closed within SunSystems. If you do not wish to update the account status on some of the accounts in the list, remove the tick in the update column. By doing this, you are excluding this account from the update.

When you have made your selections, click on the update button to perform the update. On completion, you will notice that the Suspend column is now showing a “C” against the accounts that have been updated.
