Collect has a very powerful and flexible search function. You can serach accounts by account name, address code or contact last name.
The Find function can be used to locate all account codes meeting a set of pre-defined search parameters.
We are going to find all customer accounts that are have the word “limit” somewhere in the account name. From the Inquiry menu, select Find. The following screen will then open.
Use the tabs at the top of the screen to enter your search criteria.
In Account Name enter %limit%.
This way Collect will find all customer accounts that have limit in their name. Click on Search to perform the search. The search will extract the following accounts:
Click here to see a screenshotIf you would like to view the transactions for any of these account, select the account and click on the Transaction button located at the bottom of the screen.
Address Fields / Contacts Fields: And/OrUse these fields to indicate if the selection made in the Address and Contact tabs are “and” or “or” selections.
For example, if you enter a Company name of %limited% and a Address Line5 of UK in the Address tab, are you searching for all accounts that have “limited” in the company name AND are in UK? Alternatively, are you searching for all accounts that have “limited” in the company name OR are in UK?
