Page 7 of 9 System Data 5. Click System to migrate your system data (without entering any database or business unit code). Once the migration has finished, the number of rows that were successfully migrated is displayed on the form. 6. Check if any errors have occurred by opening the file called INSTREP.LOG. This file is created in your Print folder. In a standard SunSystems 5 installation this folder is called _print. Static Data 7. Enter the SunSystems version 4.2 Database Code and your new SunSystems 5 Business Unit Code. Click Static. 8. Once the migration has finished, the number of rows that were successfully migrated are displayed on the form, as well as the number of Payment Terms rows. 9. Check if any errors have occurred, by opening the file called STATREP-ZZZ.LOG. This file is created in your Print folder. In a standard SunSystems 5 installation this folder is called _print. Actual Ledger and Budget Ledger Data 10. Click Trans (transaction). 11. If any invalid dates exist within the ledger backups, these are converted using the following rules:
- If a corrupt Entry Date is found the System Date is substituted.
- If a corrupt or zero Transaction Date is found and the Entry Date is not zero the Entry Date is substituted.
- If a corrupt or zero Transaction Date is found and the Entry Date is zero the System Date is substituted.
- If a corrupt Posting Date is found the Entry Date is substituted
- If a corrupt Due Date is found the date is set to Null values
- If a corrupt Allocation Date is found the date is set to Null values
| 12. Once the migration has finished, the number of rows that were successfully migrated are displayed on the form, as well as the number of Payment Terms rows. 13. Check details of any automatic date conversions and if any errors have occurred, by opening the file called LDGREP-ZZZ.LOG within your Print folder. In a standard SunSystems 5 installation this folder is called _print. Archive Data Before migrating archive data, use Navigation Manager to access Ledger Setup (LS) and ensure the Ledger Archiving check box, within the Options group on the Transaction Rules tab, is checked. 14. Enter a range of years using the Archive Year From and To fields, to migrate all your archive data within that range. Alternatively, enter specific year(s) in the Archive Year(s) fields. 15. Click Archive. 16. Once the migration has finished, the number of rows that were successfully migrated is displayed on the form. 17. Check if any errors have occurred, by opening the file called ARCHREP-ZZZ.LOG (where ZZZ is the SunSystems version 4.2 business unit). This file is created in your Print folder.
