Page 1 of 3 SunSystems Connect (SSC) provides an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface through which developers can access SunSystems 5 data and core functionality. SunSystems Connect (SSC) is a new extensible Java based open integration tool that enables you to link with other applications. It is designed to allow web applications to access SunSystems 5 data and submit commercial transactions in real time. SunSystems Connect provides an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface through which developers can access SunSystems 5 data and core functionality. SSC has been developed using Java and publishes a series of components that can be accessed by XML messages. This means any application that can read or write XML can link to SunSystems 5 application components. SSC is also used by Transfer Desks to perform retrieval and updating of the SunSystems data. SSC includes the following features:
