Offline Formulas allows values that have been extracted using Vision XL formulas to be retained in an Excel workbook when the workbook is opened but the Vision XL add-in is not loaded.
Offline Formulas allows an active workbook the ability to operate without the use of the Vision XL add-in. The workbook can then be distributed to users who do not have the Vision XL add-in installed.
If a workbook with Offline Formulas is open and the Vision XL add-in is also open, Offline Formulas recalculates the value using the add-in. Individual formulas may be recalculated, even if the workbook is indicated as being offline, by opening the relevant definition form and clicking OK.
If formulas are offline, the workbook may be recalculated even if the Vision XL add-in is not loaded but the existing value is retained and does not return ‘#VALUE!’.
Offline Formulas applies to an entire Excel workbook.
Offline Formulas cannot be applied to workbooks containing Vision XL macros with Macro steps that require the Vision XL add-in.
Offline Formulas does not prevent users from amending or deleting the Vision XL formulas or changing the extract figure when the add-in is loaded.

To enable this option go to “Vision XL” -> “Utilities” -> “Offline Formulas”.
