Overview
Extract Transactions produces a snapshot of the transactions on the system which meet the criteria that have been specified
Use Extract Transactions to extract transaction details from your SunSystems data into an Excel worksheet. For example, you can extract the details of all transactions for a selected range of periods, limited by a range of customers and further limited by all transactions that have a particular Movement Order Analysis Code (M-Code).
You can set a transaction limit in Vision Setup to limit the number of transactions extracted at any one time. When the transactions extracted reach that number, a message appears notifying you of the limit and the first cell in the extraction is colored blue with a note of the limit attached. You must reset the limit in Vision Setup to view further transactions.
Go to “Vision XL” -> “Extract Transactions”
The Table field  contains all the Transactional tables for SunSystems. Select LA – Ledger, enter the range of accounts and when you have done this double-click LA\Accounting Period, Period Selection window will appear:
From period drop-down list choose YA – Year-to-date option and click OK.
You will now select Account Code, CA\Account Name, Period, Journal Number, Base Amount to be output. Double-click on Account Code from the Selection List. Then click + (to expand) CA Chart of Accounts-> double-click on Description, sort by Account Code and Period. The finale tab 1 should look like this:

Tab 2 should look this way:
Don’t forget to save this format in a Workbook File! Click OK
You can see here that a different row has been returned for every transactional record in the Ledger Table that fall within the range of Accounts and Periods specified.
