Page 1 of 2 Data Access Groups enable you to pull together operator groups from inclusion, or exclusion from, individual records. This is security at a data level.
Data Access Groups need to be considered as an integral part of security when implementing SunSystems. It is recommended that you determine client data security requirements prior to finalizing operator groups. Data Access Groups can be implemented after a client has commenced live operation of the system, this will most likely require a review of and subsequent re-organization of operator groups.

| Data Access Groups Setup (DAG) Data Access Group Code Enter a code to identify the data access group. Include/Exclude A data access group can be set up to be: Inclusive – only the operator groups specified in the data access group will have access where the data access group is specified Exclusive – operator group specified in the data access group will not have access where the data access group is specified

The exclude option can be used where more than 64 operator group need to included in one data access group (provided that the number of operator groups that need to be excluded does not exceed 64). Operator Groups Select the operator groups to be associated with this data access group. You can enter up to 64 operator groups against one data access group code. |
