 Asset Code
The code that identifies the asset you want to analyse. The asset is defined using Fixed Asset Setup (FAS).
Asset Subcode
The asset subcode used to uniquely identify the posting presets (analysis code) for the asset.
Description
The full name or description of the data item or record. This is used to identify it on reports and inquiries.
Lookup Code
A lookup code can be used to find a record as an alternative to the record code. It is often set to a shortened version of the description.
Depreciation Factor
The proportion of the total asset depreciation to be apportioned to this subcode. The depreciation is calculated in Depreciation Calculation (DPC) and is split across all of the subcodes for the asset, using this factor. It is recorded against the analysis codes identified.  If the factor is left blank, the factor is assumed to be zero and the depreciation is not analysed to this subcode.
Analysis Dimensions 1-10
The description of each analysis dimension that has been assigned to ledger transactions using Analysis Structure Setup (NS).
Analysis Codes 1-10
For each dimension, an analysis code can be entered. The analysis codes must have been defined for the appropriate dimension using Analysis Codes Setup (NC). If this asset/subcode combination is referenced on a transaction, the analysis codes entered here are assigned to the transaction. The inquiries available in Financials are highly sophisticated and flexible.  Using a combination of filters and user-defined forms it enables the user to enquire on multiple accounts as well as explode summary lines of selected transactions to display the underlying transactions.
