Page 4 of 7 Asset Note Setup You can hold data about assets to supplement the information recorded in Fixed Asset Setup (FAS). An asset record can have any number of asset note records linked to it. Asset notes are tied to asset records by the asset code. For example, one note record holds details of the original asset as purchased, while subsequent note records hold details of enhancements or part disposals. The original asset record is unaffected by the addition of new notes. Asset notes are used for information only. You can leave all fields blank, apart from asset code. You can display the details on the asset notes in reference reports. Entering Asset Notes Form – from the Fixed Asset Setup form, select the Action menu, select Asset Notes, or click Asset Notes button. Asset Note Code To review an existing Asset Note, select the code or type a new code to create a new note. General tab No fields are mandatory. Information may be entered where required.
Location - Address The address code that identifies the location of the asset. Address codes are defined using Addresses Setup (AS).
