Page 6 of 9 Opening Existing Menus Before editing an existing menu or template, it must be checked out and opened within Navigation Manager Editor. Once the required menu has been checked out: 1. From the File menu select Open. 2. Highlight the OPR or SMP file you want to edit. 3. Click OK. The menu which has now been opened is displayed in the selected objects pane and its name is displayed in the Navigation Manager Editor title bar. Saving Menus Menu file names are formed from a truncation of the language code and operator group to which they are assigned, and given a file extension of .OPR. When saving a menu for the first time you must select the language code and operator group to which you want to assign the menu. If you do not want to assign the menu to an operator group, you should save the menu as a template. To save changes to an existing menu without changing its language code or assigned operator group: 1. From the File menu select Save. To save a new menu or save changes to an existing menu and change its language code or assigned operator group: 2. Ensure the operator group to which you intend to assign the menu has been created. 3. From the File menu select Save As to display the Save As dialog: File Type Select the Menu radio button. Local Files This lists the OPR files currently checked out from the server. Local File Folder Displays the path to the folder where your menu is to be saved. Click the browse button to select a different folder. File Details Type the language code and select the operator group to which you want to assign the menu. 4. Click OK.
