Page 3 of 9 Function Allows you to select the appropriate function. Forms for Selected Function Displays details about the saved forms on your server. 3. Select the function and the forms to be checked out. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one form. Specify the Local Form Folder using the browse button, if necessary. If the form you want to check out is already checked out by yourself, the system asks for confirmation that it should be checked out again - therefore overwriting any changes already made. 4. Click Check Out. 5. You can now Open your form so that it can be amended. V. Form Compilation.
When you are finished with creating the form and after you have checked it in you have to compile the form. To access Form Compiler - FC from Navigation Manager select Setting up SunSystems, Tools, Form Compiler. Compiling All Forms 1. Run Form Compiler from Navigation Manager. There is a pause whilst all the forms for all the functions are downloaded from the server. 2. Select which languages you want to compile the forms in. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one language. The list only shows the languages for which you are serialized. 3. Select which business units you want to compile your forms for. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one business unit. Form Compiler only compiles the business unit specific forms that are associated with the business units you have selected. 4. Click Compile.
All the forms for all the functions, in the languages and business units that you specified will now compile. Compiling Preselected Forms 1. Run Form Compiler from Navigation Manager. 2. Click Advanced>>. 3. Select the function(s) for which you wish to compile forms by highlighting them in the Function list. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one function, or click Select All. All forms for all selected functions are displayed in the neighboring window with their function name, form name, and date last modified. You can click these column headings to sort the forms. 4. Select the form(s) which you wish to compile by highlighting them in the Function | Form Name | Modification Date list. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one form, or click Select All. 5. Click Add to add the selected forms to the lower Function | Form Name | Modification Date list. 6. Continue selecting further forms in the same way, as required. 7. Select which languages you want to compile the forms in. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one language. The list only shows the languages for which you are serialized. 8. Select which business units you want to compile your forms for. Use the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one business unit. Form Compiler only compiles the business unit specific forms that are associated with the business units you have selected. 9. Click Compile. |
