SunSystems 5 SQL Tables PDF Print E-mail
User Rating: / 4
Business Unit Create (BUC) is used to create the database tables for a new business unit. You identify the code you want to use as the business unit, and identify the database file group which must already exist. SunSystems creates all of the necessary database tables and files to support this new operating entity.
The Tables relating to a specific Business Unit are prefixed with the Business Unit Code (i.e. xxx_TableName, where xxx is the Business Unit Code).

Installing and Configuring SunSystems Connect PDF Print E-mail
User Rating: / 1
SunSystems Connect (SSC) provides an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface through which developers can access SunSystems 5 data and core functionality.
SunSystems Connect (SSC) is a new extensible Java based open integration tool that enables you to link with other applications. It is designed to allow web applications to access SunSystems 5 data and submit commercial transactions in real time. SunSystems Connect provides an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface through which developers can access SunSystems 5 data and core functionality.
SSC has been developed using Java and publishes a series of components that can be accessed by XML messages. This means any application that can read or write XML can link to SunSystems 5 application components. SSC is also used by Transfer Desks to perform retrieval and updating of the SunSystems data.
SSC includes the following features:
  • SSC Web Server
  • Deployers Workbench
  • Adminstrators Workbench
  • User Manager
SSC Web Server
The SSC web server runs on the SunSystems application server and is used to pass data into and out of SunSystems. Both input and output data formats are in SSML (XML variant). The user can connect to the web server across an intranet or the internet, allowing the user to select methods and enter data or specify input payloads for SSC to process. The resulting output
payload is returned to the web front end in SSML format.
Deployers Workbench
The Deployers Workbench is used by SSC implementors to monitor transactions being entered through SSC (or Transfer Desks) in real time. Users can also add and maintain SSC licenses and set up email notifications for expired or nearly expired licenses. New components can be installed or updated, and payload definitions can be tuned according to the SunSystems installation by marking specific nodes/leaves as unused. For example, where analysis dimensions and value labels differ from installation to installation.
Adminstrators Workbench
The Administrators Workbench is used by systems administrators to perform the same tasks as the Deployers Workbench but it does not allow the tuning of payload definitions.
User Manager
The User Manager is used by systems administrators to add new SSC users. The user name is used for SSC input payloads and to create new SunSystems users.
