Overview Vision Executive is an inquiry and reporting tool that can be used by any business executive to directly access and analyse data held in a SunSystems database. Vision Executive is a powerful data inquiry and reporting system that allows you to examine data held in SunSystems databases. Vision Executive has been purpose-built to operate with SunSystems. It utilises knowledge of the SunSystems file structure and the analysis code structure to anticipate user requirements. This means designing the most complex inquiry, i.e. a query, is a very simple process. The design of Vision Executive embodies an understanding of SunSystems data structure, making complex data inquiries easy to design. Vision Executive goes well beyond the simple query. Vision Executive allows you to examine financial data with tools such as Drilldown and Data Matrix. |

Custom Drill allows you to drill from any Vision Executive cell using an external program from within Vision Executive. For example, you can link scanned invoices to a transaction reference in SunSystems or to Ledger Analysis Codes (T-Codes). You can attach multiple Custom Drills to a single Vision Executive cell. Field references are available to use as parameters when defining a Custom Drill. For example, Ledger Analysis Code (T-Code) {TA1Code} and Account Code {AcCode}. You can access the Custom Drill function either by selecting tab 4 on the Define Criteria definition form or by clicking File, Properties to open the Workbook Properties dialog box. Custom Drills assigned to a workbook display in the Custom Drill window. Click the assist button to display the Custom Drill dialog box and define a Custom Drill. Click the minus ‘-‘ sign to remove a Custom Drill displayed in the window. Removing a Custom Drill from the Custom Drill window does not delete the Custom Drill from the saved list displayed in the grid on the Custom Drill Dialog box. |

Criteria displayed in the Design worksheet can be designed, charted and embedded in the worksheet. Charts can then be analysed directly on the Chart View dialog box using drill options that appear when you select a chart point. Charts can be defined and embedded in a worksheet that is linked to the worksheet criteria. They can then be analysed using Drill options that appear when a chart series is selected. The charting facility is immensely flexible and powerful. Various chart types are available and all elements can be customized as required, for example, colours, shading and the axis. Data to be charted must be continuous in a single selection range, i.e., there must be no spaces between the data. Column and row labels must also be included. Use defined names to reference any cells within the worksheet to a chart and ensure that sufficient rows are available to display worksheet charts. |
